NORIA EXPERIENCE
The client’s session with the artists revealed her deep connection to her Mexican heritage and the comforting, tender and caring love of both her matriarchal and patriarchal grandmothers. Their feminine strength rose up as the underlying theme in her Exploratory Session.
the artists’ process
The artists contemplative practice revealed separate, but complementary visions for the client, including a corn stalk growing tall and changing to tuberose, ripe peach, blooming at night, grandmas’ hands and the qualities of warmth, tradition and elegance.
artISTS’ STATEMENT
The strong agricultural elements in this piece- corn representing strength, tuberose representing an expansive, sweet fragrance and peach representing (in that time and culture) nobility and elegance- are an homage to the client's grandmothers' Mexican heritage. The upward movement speaks to the client's recent endeavors, backed by the feminine power of her ancestors.

THE ARTISTS’ PROCESS
In their separate meditations, Becca and Shannon saw multiple earth elements, creating an overarching theme of protection and balance. Each member of the family was represented by a different element, effortlessly coming together in wholeness.

This portrayal of an intimate family culture reveals a sense of balance as each member of the family represented a different element; the mother as the warming sun, the father as a mountain of protection and their young son as a playful crab on the beach. Their symbiotic relationship is shared in the piece through themes of security and play, lightheartedness and effortlessness.

This young married couple shared in their Exploratory Session that, even with all the twists and turns of life, their story is full of serendipitous moments where things always turn out better than they had planned.

What came up for the artists in their process, was a series of images, including guitar strings, the milky way and a flag.

The major theme in this abstract painting of the milky way is the unexpected leading to something significant. The layering of structure is a nod to things planned, while the unexpected layers of color speak to those which are unplanned.

The client came in with a concept for the piece: surrendering old dreams and inviting in new ones. And, through her Exploratory Session, shared that she was open to surrendering her preconceived notions and embracing the noria experience and whatever the artists' contemplative practice revealed.

The artists were taken by the amount of imagery and words that came to each of them. Their process of reconciling the themes of drums, a heartbeat, a parade of strong female ancestors, a summoning, and the phrase "it is finished" was lengthy and emotional.
artISTS’ STATEMENT
The essence of this piece is the pulse of the energetic relationship between the client and her strong female ancestors, summoning her into a soulful procession, a celebration of all she has been called to be. The pulse continues to be visually represented by a drumbeat and a heartbeat, held in love and authority.

The client shared what lights her up: the family she has created as an adult in the U.S., and childhood memories of her family in Lebanon.
THE ARTISTS’ PROCESS
The themes of a summer pool day were prevalent in both artists' visualizations. From the warmth of laying on the hot concrete after a cold swim to the depth perspective of the high-rises around them, they were transported into one of the client's most treasured memories.
artISTS’ STATEMENT
This painting captures a recollection of a simpler time from the client's childhood in Lebanon, a respite for her sensitive, melancholy spirit. Her husband and children, who bring her so much happiness, are transported back in time to this memory with her. Each family member's significance is expressed in the landscape and the overarching theme of joy comes through with cabana-inspired stripes and a jovial color palette.

The clients, a married couple, spoke openly to the struggles of their blended family and how their complex journey of love and forgiveness has forged their character and depth.

The themes of forgiveness and grace came up for both artists, represented by color. Each of the family members were assigned a different hue as they played a role, bubbling up in the water away from the darkness below.

Color played a strong role in the visualizations of each artist, with different hues representing each of the parents and children in this beautiful blended family. The themes of grace (in lavender) and forgiveness (yellow) played a pivotal role in uniting the family as a whole. Imagery of the couple's jawlines coming out of the water spoke to them emerging from the depth and darkness of the struggle below. Their children, a constant source of light, help their parents to bubble up to the surface, always moving towards compassion for all.

The client tip toed cautiously into her Exploratory Session, a beautiful act of vulnerability for one with a strong preference for protection. Themes of creativity, presence and overcoming came up naturally in the conversation.
the artists’ process
The main theme of protection came through the artists' meditations, symbolized by a shield, a cloak and a pea pod, covering the client and her family. Her demure and seductive femininity was juxtaposed against the strong imagery of ink-soaked heavy ropes.

The client's wise soul and Divine Feminine energy are portrayed in this painting as an almost warrior like aesthetic. The protectiveness of the cloak and the shield, shelter the depth of her life experience and the creativity that lives deep within her. The rising, overly saturated color is symbolic of the way that she soaks up and expresses what life and beauty have taught her, imprinting everyone she encounters.

The client recalled a vivid memory of seeing piles of blue gemstone powder while visiting the vibrant, beautiful and gritty markets in her family's native Northern India. It's in her favorite place that she experienced the duality of feeling both connected to her culture and like an outsider as a visting American.

The artists' meditations revealed symbolic elements from the client's treasured experience at the Indian market: strong creative hands with blue veins, sunny marigolds, a wishbone, spices, jewlery and fabric.

In this composition, the strong, independent client’s Indian culture is visually portrayed as a part of her. The elements of the market makes up her physical body. Her blue veins illustrate that despite any cultural differences, when cut open, we are all bleeding the same red blood inside.

The artists experienced a sound bath from the clients during which they meditated and saw visions of a lush overgrown jungle and bubbles.

This piece reveals the visually elaborate complexities often found in nature. The overgrown jungle speaks to abundant life and the bubbles represent meditative states where time stops and one can find rest in being their authentic self.

This deeply passionate client shared some of her greatest loves: traveling to Paris and beyond, music, bold color, and a strong loyalty to her lifelong friends.
the artists’ process
The artists meditated and received an array of imagery, including the word "saint" with a halo, an overhead map, and a beetle's hard shell.
artists’ statement
The true essence of the client is illustrated through the holiness of the colorful stained glass, the halo and the likeness of a beetle. The hard shelled creature has a soft interior and represents creativity, solidarity and hard work. When zoomed out, the negative space represents the neighborhoods and plazas of Paris, a nod to the client's love of travel.
